Recently the word change has become a frequently used word in our vocabulary. Our financial institutions are promoting a change in the lending practices, our government is looking to change our economy, the younger generations are imploring a change in policy concerning our environment and the older adults want a change in the healthcare system. But what really does it mean to change? I looked up the word in the dictionary and found it to mean to substitute, alter or vary. Change implores doing something different than what you are presently doing. Why, then, must it be qualified as good or bad? Is change not just changing? Change itself is the act of doing, it is not the outcome. By doing you are neither good nor bad, you just are. Such fear has been associated with the word change. Our society developed a phobia against any kind of change. The outcome is too unpredictable to chance; we would rather do nothing at all and complain about it than to chance a change for the better. Has the ego and self become so powerful that we are no longer able to move forward in a progressive direction? Logic tells us that
So many times we see souls get frustrated because they do not fit into a box of what they think others expect them to be. These type of opinions and expectations can create much inner turmoil within an individual. Each soul came for a unique experience, to be the individual they choose to be, not to be a cookie-cutter version of someone else. What a boring world that would be! Often times souls feel frustration and struggle because they feel that the world does not understand them. Yet they are also so fearful of expressing themselves, that they don’t allow others to get to know them. What a paradox this creates. Learn to understand yourself completely, so that you can freely express yourself appropriately and allow for others to understand you. If someone else tells you to change your views because they don’t like it, that is their problem, not yours. When you express yourself from a place of Love and in accordance with your inner Truth, you are giving the highest honor to yourself and therefore to God. There is no need for judgment of the actions of another; because from a singular perspective, you won’t always understand the
Destruction is a process of taking down and rebuilding, of cleansing a space to rebuild anew. It can enter with a tremendous force, with a loud noise, and a widespread devastation. It can also enter unknowingly in the shadow of darkness, creeping silently, stealth-like just below the radar of detection. Such is the way an illness enters the body, and consumes everything in its path. With no conscious knowledge of its existence, only the symptoms of weakness, fatigue and aching are the precursors for the impending turmoil which is about to unfold. Nagging joints, a tired worn out feeling and weakness are just signs of age and a very active lifestyle, or so she convinced herself. She will slow down and take some time for herself when the kids are grown, the business takes off, the holidays are over, or someday. But what if someday is today? Silence can be an eerie feeling. Soothing music on the radio paired with the winding country road; bring a nice break from the chaos of the day. Nature’s beauty is found along the ditches and through the wide open countryside. Appreciation for the beauty of life is often overlooked until a crisis overtakes
The Law of Attraction is a very popular topic these days. With so much emphasis in the media on the economy and lack of work, many souls are now beginning to search for new and different ways to bring about Abundance in their lives. The Law of Attraction is a Universal Law that states that whatever you put your energy toward, that is what you will draw into your life. Often times the positive aspects of the Law of Attraction are overemphasized, but in order to become a Master of your own destiny, you need to understand all of the ramifications of this Universal Law. Therefore, you must take into consideration that the converse of this Law is also true. Whatever is in your life, you drew it there because somehow it is your creation. When you look at the life that you have designed for yourself, it is important that you look at the things that you would like to change and what you would like them to be. Once you have determined what those areas of your life are, then you need to ask yourself if there is anything blocking you from making those desired changes. Do you
When we first began to evolve consciously, we automatically begin to receive opposite-sex energy. It comes in naturally from the energy in the universe. But we must be careful, because if another person comes along who offers this energy directly we can cut ourselves off from the true source. Most parents compete with their own children for energy, and that has an effect on all of us. Because this competition is taking place, none of us have resolved this opposite-sex issue. We are all stuck at the stage where we are looking for our opposite-sex energy outside of ourselves, in the person of a male or female we can think of as ideal and magical and can possess sexually. Using a female child as an example, all little girls know the first attempts to integrate her male side is through her father. She wants him around and close to her all the time. Looking for the male energy to compliment her female side she draws this from her father. From the male energy she receives a sense of completion and euphoria. But she mistakenly thinks that the only way to have this energy is by keeping her father close physically.
There comes a time in everyone’s spiritual development where you must ask: “Are you thinking for yourself?” During the course of your lifetime it is easy to be bombarded with the thoughts and opinions of others. You have to look inside yourself and know that anything that comes from outside of you must be examined. My channel recently went to see a beautiful movie called Avatar. One of the themes of this movie is to start thinking for yourself and to not keep doing things just because you were told to. Each soul has to face these issues within themselves and see where they feel authentic to their hearts and where they feel like they are just doing things out of fear or guilt. Are you exhibiting the emotions and behaviors of others in your own life? Think for a minute if you use expressions that you may have heard your parents say, or if your manner of fashion comes from what you see in magazines. Where did you get your opinions about food, love, sex, religion, self-worth, music, money and politics from? Are those things what you truly believe, or are they taken from the mouths and minds of
