The Darkness Before the Dawn
Have you ever wondered why we must experience despair, before we can experience jubilation? Why all must seem hopeless before we find hope or tragedy strike before prosperity and joy enter our lives? I believe the telling factor is appreciation.
When life is going well, and joy and prosperity are ours to enjoy we are so caught up in the moment we neglect to give thanks for our abundance. The humility of saying thank you eludes us in these moments and yet is the most important thought, word or gesture we can extend.
Appreciation grounds us to our inner being, and makes us reflect on the abundance surrounding us. Often times despair clouds our vision of the things we should be thankful for that are going on right in front of us.
A common misconception is that we are the victims of a circumstance or situation. We conveniently forget or choose not to acknowledge that we created this situation to learn a lesson. We gain experience and knowledge from the illusion of a tragedy because we give it our full and undivided attention. The dark energy is placed strategically in our lives for the purpose of making us stop the unconscious track we are on, and make us conscious again to our inner being and our surroundings.
In some instances, it only takes a bump in the road or a mere inconvenience to get our attention; other times it takes a natural disaster or catastrophic illness for us to stand up and take notice of the direction our lives are on. Once we acknowledge and redirect the journey our lives have taken, we can find the way back to the path of our true destiny, and turn our situation from strife to joy.
This cannot happen without reflection and a thankful appreciation for all that we have been given, and have experienced to this point in our journey. Take a moment each day to give thanks for all the love and prosperity you enjoy in your life; for only then can the abundance and joy you desire come flowing to you every day on your destiny path.
